About

Our community has been through a lot over the last few months and all of us are looking forward to resuming our new “normal” routines.

While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your health and safety.

As we share our office with Amador Dental, we follow the infection control recommendations from all of the following associations:
-American Med Spa Association
-American Dental Association
-U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
-Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

We are committed to ensuring that our infection control procedures are current and effective, as our top priority is the health and well-being of our patients, families, staff and community.

How to Prepare for your Appointment:

Bring your medical insurance card with you or your HSA.

  • The rapid test will not have any out-of-pocket charges, though we will send a bill to your medical insurance. Per Federal Insurance Laws, all COVID-19 testing charges are fully covered by your medical insurance without deductible or out-of-pocket costs during this pandemic. You may also use your HSA if you do not have medical insurance.

  • We will be testing EVERY patient for COVID-19 prior to their appointment. You will be asked to either come 30 minutes before your appointment or up to one week before your appointment. These are finger prick tests that will be administered by the Dentist or the Nurse Practitioner. The results are read on-site.

Curbside waiting & check-in.

  • To adhere to social distancing rules, we request that you please wait in your car when you arrive at our office. Check in by texting or calling us and we will let you know when we are ready for you to come in. We would like to minimize waiting room use as much as we can.

  • You may notice that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and other items that are difficult to clean.

Prepare for questions, temperature checks, frequent hand-washing, and to wear your mask.

  • You will be asked screening questions both before your appointment and when you arrive in the office.

  • You will be asked to wear a mask while you are in our facility. If you do not have one, we will supply the mask upon entry.

  • You will be asked to wash your hands with soap and water or use the hand sanitizer we have available as soon as you enter the office.

  • We will check the temperature of everyone who comes in for treatment and those accompanying them. Please use our complimentary hand sanitizers and we require everyone to wear masks except during treatment.

Schedule and plan ahead.

  • Appointments will be managed to allow for physical distancing between patients. This might mean patients are offered fewer options for appointment times

  • Patients are asked to not bring others into the practice, unless they are parents or guardians of patients who are minors or are special needs patients. Please note that children are not allowed in the treatment room with patients during COVID-19 and for all future treatments.

Bring comfort measures for cooler temperatures.

  • With the increase in the amount of Protective Equipment our team is incorporating, the temperature in the office might be cooler than normal.

  • We have always provided blankets and other spa services as well as headphones in the past for your comfort, but we ask that you please bring your own jacket, blanket, and/or headphones to your appointment at this time.

Reasons we will need to reschedule.

  • POSITIVE TEST RESULT. Test results are read on-site. If there is a positive result, we will inform you and refer you to Washington Hospital’s drive-through testing facility. Procedures will not be performed on patient's with a positive result for an active infection.

  • TEMPERATURE >100F. If you show an elevated temperature of 100 F or higher, we will have to re-schedule your appointment.

Besides our normal practices, here are additional steps that we are taking to make your visit safer:

  • Masks and Hand Sanitizer at the front door for your convenience.

  • All internal doors are held open to allow for a touchless experience.

  • We are observing the six (6) foot social distancing rules throughout the office.

  • All staff are using the appropriate PPE, including masks, shields and gowns where applicable.

  • We have gone beyond the regulatory requirements and added Air Purifiers in common areas and UV Air purification in the treatment rooms to improve air quality and disinfection and create a healthier environment for everyone.

  • All rooms are fully decontaminated after each patient to curb transmission.

Some of these measures may seem strange or new to you but have been put in place for the utmost safety; we appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we have taken to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. Again, we would like to reiterate our sympathies to any who have been directly or indirectly affected by this virus. We look forward to welcoming you back to our office and want to assure you that we take your safety seriously. Be kind, be patient, we are all in this together. Thank you for trusting us with your health!

Most of all, thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming you back to our office.

Sincerely,
Dr. Jacob DeVinney, Dr. Mehranz Nicole Jamali, & Kobi Pflueger, NP-C
